Charles Darwin: A Step Too Far – David Rives

Charles Darwin was born in Shrewsbury England. At the age of 19, he entered Cambridge University where he studied to become an Anglican Clergyman. Darwin later wrote that his time at Cambridge was sadly wasted – that he was much more interested in collecting beetles than anything he had studied at Cambridge.

Immediately after finishing his studies Darwin was invited to accompany Captain Robert FitzRoy on a survey expedition to South America aboard the HMS Beagle. During his voyage he noticed differences in the beaks of various birds that allowed them to adapt to their surroundings. He pioneered the well known concept of micro-evolution based on his observations. Life placed in different circumstances and situations has an amazing ability to adapt.

THAT was observable science… However, Darwin took it one step further, and began to theorize that perhaps all life originated ages ago from a single organism.

A macro-evolutionary tale that was just wild enough to catch people’s attention… – and those who weren’t grounded in the Bible fell for it.

As Hosea tells us: “It is time to seek the LORD… Ye have eaten the fruit of lies: because thou didst trust in thy way, in the multitude of thy mighty men.” Hos 10:12-13
