Dear friends,
As 2019 draws to a close, I wanted to take a few moments to thank you and to share what we have been able to accomplish with your help over the past year. If you are able to watch, I’ve prepared a video for you to show you some of the progress that has been made.
In addition to the video above, I wanted to briefly outline just a few key highlights of the year:
- Bus tours to the Wonders of Creation Center, here in Lewisburg, TN.
- New 20 minute summary of our award-winning documentary “Bible Knows Best” played in our event center.
- Entire collection of taxidermy donated and placed on display along with exhibits and interactive displays on the amazing design of animals.
- New push-button videos for Leviathan and Astronomy exhibits.
- New ancient Torah scroll from 1100’s in “History and Accuracy of the Bible” exhibit.
- Almost 10,000 households receiving our free print magazine.
- Over 100,000 active friends on ministry Facebook page.
- New flooring in multiple areas of our offices, studios, and Event Center.
- New display cases with fossils and artifacts related to the Grand Canyon.
- “Studio B” enclosed and capable of increasing seating capacity by 150, also allowing multi-day conferences with breakout and plenary sessions.
- Creation Superstore inventory updated and organized.
- Brand-new content on Genesis Science Network added all of the time.
- Over 350 short 2-5 minute “Heavens Declare” videos completed.
- The Creation Club growing by an average of one new article per day.
- Brand new weekly Podcast “Wonders Without Number with David Rives”
- Over 250 episodes of Creation in the 21st Century on TBN.
- Over 75 videos in our DVD series and television programs “Wonders Without Number.”
- “God’s Living Treasures – Animals of Alaska Volume 1” premiered the first of the year and has won 4 awards at film festivals.
- We are well on our way preparing a Mt. Saint Helens documentary dedicated to the 40th anniversary of its eruption, and scheduled to be released next year coinciding with the anniversary.
So many people, particularly millennials and younger, have been persuaded that we are the result of evolution over millions of years, but that is not what the most famous scientists of all time believed, and that is not what many great scientists believe today.
It is absolutely vital that we make the next generation aware of that fact. Together, it is our responsibility. They will never hear that in secular schools and universities. We have to reach them and you are making that possible.
In addition to our television programs and commentaries, over the past year we have produced two professional documentaries: God’s Living Treasures, Animals of Alaska – Part 2 with Dr. Jobe Martin, and a new Grand Canyon film that will get a one-night theater release in 2020!
Animals of Alaska Volume 1 premiered right here at our studios in the Wonders of Creation Center on January 3rd this year to amazing response. It’s already received 4 awards at film festivals and the Lord has used it in so many ways.
We’ve been working for the past year with Dr. Jobe Martin on the sequel: Animals of Alaska Volume 2! It’s set to premiere here on January 30th, 2020 and you’re invited! This documentary includes live interactions with Grizzly bears, information on reindeer, the Arctic Tern, Musk Ox, and more. Many of the people involved in the film will be here in person to meet you and answer questions.
If you can attend, RSVP by calling us, because I believe you will really love it. Last year we were almost overwhelmed with attendance, but this year because of the improvements we were able to make to our facility we are much better prepared. It’s still a lot of people so let us know if you can attend.
Our new documentary on the Grand Canyon, called “Secrets Beyond the Rim,” is progressing nicely. This is one we are really excited about, and you have helped us make this possible. The title “Secrets Beyond the Rim” is the truth… we did more than just stand on the rim and take photos… we actually traveled all the way to the bottom and then climbed back out – documenting every layer and the evidences of Noah’s flood in the fossils and rock layers. The Grand Canyon is one of the best examples in the world of the catastrophic flood in Noah’s day. I believe this documentary will cause people who have questioned the validity of the Biblical account to take a second look.
You know, Jesus spoke of Noah and the flood. What we really want to accomplish is to get people to take a second look at the Gospel and turn their eyes upon Him. That’s our ultimate goal. He also stated that Moses wrote of Him in the first books of the Bible – the “Old Testament” – which means that the same God Who spoke the stars into existence with a Word loved us so much that He came to earth in the form of man to become the ultimate sacrifice for our sins – He cares THAT much about us. What a Gift to the world! (John 3:16) The simplicity of Christ is powerful, so much so that He told us to receive His kingdom as a little child (Mark 10:15). If you have been enjoying the content we produce from an intellectual level but have never decided to be a part of His family, its a simple choice: if you will “confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” -Romans 10:9 – I cannot tell you how profound this simple statement is! By the power of the Holy Spirit, we will then want to not only live according to His commands but also want others to have the joy of salvation. I pray you have a personal relationship with your Creator.
Pray with us going into 2020, what may prove to be the most pivotal year of this ministry since we started 12 years ago. As the Lord has blessed us with one of the most powerful platforms for His truth that we could imagine, we are faced with continual enemy attacks. This is to be expected. The first lie came immediately after creation, questioning God’s authority and His word. The first man and woman believed the false witness of the serpent, and thus sin entered into the world. That is the reason we need a Savior, and we are promised victory over the Enemy in the end, praise the Lord!
We always have needs for the continued growth and effectiveness of this ministry. Thank you so much for being a part of these joint efforts. As a non-profit ministry all of the things I’ve discussed were made possible only by way of your support.
WE – together have had the privilege to share the Gospel and the truths of creation with millions of people around the world – and we are just getting started. As it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
Together let’s keep looking up. Truly the heavens declare the glory of God.
