Psalms 11 warns us: “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?”
The first verse of the Bible is the foundation upon which all other scriptures are laid: “In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth”
Yet, many do not stand on that foundation, claiming that in the beginning there was nothing but a giant explosion.
As Psalms 82 says: “They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.”
The LORD himself tells us: “Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens.” …Isaiah 48:13
“Thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation.” …Isaiah 28:16
So who are we? What is our foundation? And Who is the corner-stone? The Apostle Paul sums it up: “Now therefore ye are …fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;” …Ephesians 2:19-20
Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said: “…by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other….” Acts 4:10-12
Yes, our foundations are crumbling as pseudo-intellectuals attempt to drive us away from God: “Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his.” 2 Timothy 2:19
