Is Evolution Science…Or Religion? – David Rives

Merriam Webster defines religion as: “A cause, principle, or system of beliefs held to with ardor and faith”

Evolutionists BELIEVE many things… They believe that there was a non-guided Big Bang 14 billion years ago. They believe that this proposed event caused the formation of all of the stars and planets. They believe that humans evolved over millions of years from a chance mixture of all of the right elements.

However, the dictionary indicates that, to be a religion, these beliefs must be held to with faith. Isn’t evolution FACT?

Well, not ANY of those beliefs are fact. Good empirical science is observable and repeatable. No-one witnessed a big bang 14 billion years ago, and we haven’t been able to duplicate anything like it through laboratory testing.

There have NEVER TO DATE been any confirmed observable reports of a star forming. This would take thousands or millions of years to actually document, is highly theoretical, and taken by faith.

We have never been able to create life from non-life in the laboratory, despite millions upon millions of tests in the most favorable conditions possible. This is also a faith-based belief.

All of these beliefs take a lot of faith, and their proponents hold to them with ardor.

What does that make evolution?
