Dear Friend of David Rives Ministries,
Our Creator and Savior has blessed this ministry with 10 amazing years of opportunities to share the Gospel and declare His glory through science and the Scriptures. We may never know just how many lives have been touched throughout the world since He called us to this ministry, however I can say with absolute certainty that 2017 has been the best year yet!
I want to take this opportunity to thank you so much for the continued love and support that you have shown to us and share some of the amazing stories and ways that God has used this ministry in the past 12 months. The following paragraphs summarize the top 10 events:
God has literally swung open the doors for us to share the message of Creation in churches across the country and I am blessed to have had the chance to travel to 15 states, giving presentations at nearly two dozen large events. It is always such an encouragement when people come up to me after these presentations and share awesome stories of how Jesus Christ is moving in their lives.
Many of you are familiar with our ongoing video series “Wonders Without Number” that is taped right here at our 12,000 square foot ministry center. Some amazing guests have joined me in the past 12 months on this set to share their expertise in varying fields of Creation science. In total, we have had 31 tapings in 2017.
The Creator continues to bless the outreach of “Creation in the 21st Century.” This weekly television show, that airs every Saturday afternoon at 1:30pm Central time, continues to be a powerful tool for sharing and bringing the truth of God’s Word to a global audience. Between the months of May and August, I traveled to Texas multiple times to tape 40 new programs in Dallas at TBN, marking 154 total episodes that have been taped to date.
In April we launched a brand new short radio feature called “Genesis Science Minute.” In these short 1 minute segments, listeners receive sound bytes of inspirational and educational knowledge that strengthens their faith in the validity of the Bible. The “Genesis Science Minute” has had at least 240 airings on radio this year and is available to over 100,000 stations across the country. This new avenue of ministry outreach is just one more example of the countless ways that God has allowed us to share and declare His glory. Words cannot express how privileged I feel to have been chosen by Him to carry out this important work! God is also using people like you to carry out His will because of your willingness to stand firm on the foundation and authority of Scripture. I cannot thank you enough for your loyalty and support!
“Studio B”, that sits adjacent to our large main studio and offices here at David Rives Ministries is now built out and we are quickly adding new set pieces. This secondary studio has allowed us to utilize improved green screen and specialized sets more effectively in our media ministry.
Our missions-based streaming outreach, “Genesis Science Network”, continues to reach a staggering number of people at no charge to the viewer and our viewership is increasing each month. You have been a huge part of the success of this global network with your continued financial contributions and we are so thankful for your support! To say that this aspect of ministry outreach is expensive would be an extreme understatement. Each month our streaming costs also go up. Through the love and support of people such as yourself, our Heavenly Father has allowed us to just now begin to cover the monthly costs associated with keeping this free network coming across the airwaves each day.
Founded in April 2014 by David Rives Ministries, the Creation Superstore has become the largest origins-related store in the world! We stock, inventory, and ship over 900 books, DVDs, gifts, and homeschool resources around the world. The Creation Superstore is THE one-stop shop for ‘all things Creation.’ If you can’t find what you’re looking for in the store, we are more than happy to assist in any way possible to help you get the tools you need to share your faith with others.
On August 21st, I had the privilege of photographing the total Solar Eclipse from Oregon and it was an absolutely breathtaking display of our Creator’s awesome power. The photos we were able to take have been shared across the world in the months following this awesome event.
I attended the National Religious Broadcaster’s Convention in Orlando, Florida and the annual Creation Research Society’s conference in South Carolina. I also spoke at the National Bible Bee Finale in San Antonio, Texas, and the Santee Creation Day Event in California with over 3,000 attendees. Through these events I have been honored to meet some of you who are reading this letter now and I am so thankful for the many connections that have been made that allow us to increase the effectiveness of our efforts.
TheCreationClub.com is home to over 1,500 articles and over 200 foreign-language translations that are shared around the world. Once again, God is also using this avenue of ministry outreach to bring others closer to Him. Scores of contributors from around the world contribute to this ‘place for Biblical Creationists to share and learn.’
During the last quarter of 2017 we began hosting monthly Creation events at our ministry center south of Nashville. One of the most notable was the premiere of “Echoes of the Jurassic,” a documentary that I hosted on soft-tissue in dinosaur bones.
The following month, I was honored to present “Bible Knows Best” which has become the most requested presentation that I give in churches across the country.
Here are a few things that we would like to ask you to prayerfully consider helping us with in 2018. The message and mission of our ministry is to tell and show as many as we can that the Bible is true from the very beginning to the end and also to declare His glory through Creation, Science and the Bible.
We are looking to expand our ministry to complete some extraordinarily exciting new projects. As you can imagine, personnel and production expenses add up quickly, so please consider a generous end-of-year donation to our non-profit ministry which will allow us to pursue these endeavors more rapidly.
We are working on new professional exhibits and displays for our studios and museum in Tennessee. The design elements are in the planning stage as we await the funds to cover these expenses. These exhibits will certainly proclaim His glory for all to see.
To make this continued growth possible, we are praying that we can reach our goal and raise approximately $65,000 between now and the end of 2017. Our Creator has blessed all of these efforts tremendously and I am trusting that, with YOUR continued support, we will keep reaching the world with the truth of Creation, the truth of the Bible, and the good news of the Gospel.
