Dear friends,
I am so excited to announce that I will be leading an upcoming paleontological dig in Kansas this coming September 10-14.We will be digging in what is known as the Niobrara Formation, a famous formation of rocks with a lot of history.
In the past, many important discoveries have been made within only miles of where we are working: an 18-foot long scissortail xyphactanus with another fish preserved in it’s stomach! Giant 50-foot long Mosasaurs and other Tylosaurs! Pterydactyl, and millions of large clams. All fossilized — and all found at 2,500 feet ABOVE present-day sea level over 1,000 miles from the nearest ocean!
What are all of these giant sea creatures doing so far inland, and at such a high-and-dry elevation? Could it have been the catastrophic flood recorded in the Bible? Because most of the creatures found here are not dinosaurs that walked upright on land, this dig is not technically a “dinosaur dig” but instead, a genuine paleontological dig for giant marine predators. It is an excellent opportunity for families to bond and children to learn about God’s creation, the flood, and how to dig for fossils the correct way. There will be plenty of time to make new friends, play games, and fellowship each evening. On the 14th we cap the week with a family conference including educational presentations, live music, interactive demonstrations, and more. If you are interested in being a part of this family dig, September 10-14, 2019, please let us know as soon as possible. Space is limited and will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis.
Email: info@davidrives.com with as much information as possible, including how many people, background information, location, ages, and how you got interested in creation science. Because of the remoteness of the location, an adult chaperone is recommended for any youth wanting to attend. Lodging is limited and participants will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the dig site. Please let us know if you are interested in participating and we will send you more information. We hope to see you this September, as we explore the world, learn the Bible, and praise the Creator! Until next time, keep looking up! Truly, the heavens declare the Glory of God!
