A preacher and prolific author of the 1800’s, Charles Spurgeon, said this of evolutionists:
“They inform us that by some means this world and all that is therein were evolved. Even this will not long content the men of progress: they care nothing for evolution in itself, but only so far as it may serve their purpose of escaping from the thought of God.”
This profound statement gives insight into an underlying rationale in atheism. It is sometimes difficult to give away authority and admit that we are not entirely in control of our lives. By removing God from the equation, many people feel better about the choices they make.
If there are no guidelines for our existence, then we can be our own gods, and make our own rules.
But without basic laws governing our daily lives, there can only be chaos and anarchy. Human life becomes worthless in the eyes of those who are not bound by basic morals.
The instruction found in the Ten Commandments covers both the love of God, and love of our fellow man.
A simple, ten step guide to a happy, prosperous future.
