Biggest full moon of 2012
Everyone get ready for the most spectacular full moon of the year.
On Saturday, May 5th, the moon will officially become full.
But what makes this full moon different from any other? Well, it is occuring at the very same time that the moon will be at its closest (perigee) point in the course of its orbit around the earth.
It will appear up to 16 percent brighter than most full moons. The last time a “Super Moon” occurred was in March 2011
